CCR Critical Reflection  How do your products represent social groups or issues? Within our film, there are both special groups, like friendships and relationship, as well as world issues, like weather storms/warnings. Within our film, it demonstrates a long friendship between two characters, Lily and Charlotte. Even though you only see them at this old age, you can tell by their chemistry and a little backstory given by the directors, that they have been a friends for years. Not only is this how a lot of friendships are in the world, but it shows the awkwardness many go through in certain situations. For example, hugging. This was a major issue when filming with our two actors considering they were best friends in real life, as well as neighbors and have known each other for years. They fit the roles to the T. However this made it very difficult to film because hugging and sympathy was shown up many times and best friends trying to act these type of scenes out is difficult.  A major

Final Project Blog

Filming this with Karli was stressful but also really fun. Compared to. last year, I enjoyed this project much better. Our characters were great to work with, as well as capable of reciting the script perfectly, snd executing how Karli and I did while writing. I am sad to see this project come to an end, but it was a major part of my junior year, and was a spectacular experience.                                                                             https://youtu.be/SK3Fr-jKtF8 Website:   https://rdbarnhardt.wixsite.com/website Post card                                                 Back                                                           Front

Production Blog: Last one

Image
It my last production Blog. Now that our film is over, our critical reflection is due Monday. Along with another blog where we post the film. The critical reflection is supposed to be 1000 words. There are four questions. Which makes each question about 250 words. I started the reflection a couple weeks ago, at the beginning of this month. I wrote some guidelines, and points about our film that I could possibly write about. I am going to be working on this reflection over the weekend. I have a swim starting tonight, and all through Sunday. However, the meet is only in the morning and I should be back home by four at latest everyday. This gives me Saturday and Sunday afternoon to work on it. I am going to knock out my other homework today so I only have the critical reflection to work on. I have an English assignment to do today, In addition, I also have a psych assignment. Both assignments are easy ones though. I also don't have to leave until 4:30 for the meet. I consider myself

Production Blog: Final Touches

Image
Now that Karli is back, we have a few final touches we need to add. Karli and I wanted to do the credit scenes at the end. We thought it was a good idea to have the end transition out to the sunset on the beach and have the credit roll through. Thats what we were planning on doing until Wednesday. Our teachers told us that the title sequence and credits have to happen within the first 30-40 secs of the film. We already our film over the 5 minutes. Karli and I are trying to figure how to do our credits. As well as where to put them. We are working on it today and tomorrow. We at first we were going to transition one of the scenes to a black screen, and have them play there for a little. However, during study, our friend Sonali, showed us her idea to not add anymore time, but still have the credits look normal. She had added them to the bottom of the screen during the first scene. It actually looks really good. Both Karli and I liked this idea. We just have to figure out how to work it

Production Blog: All Done with Film

It's done. After a couple of months, Karli and Is film is complete. Today, we did the final touches. Karli wanted me to redo the voice- overs. She said I didn't said enthusiastic enough. I sounded more, I guess, monotone.  Some weird that happened was, Karli and I were looking at two different scripts. With two different news lines. When Karli wasn't here, I read the one I had. Karli said I did it wrong, and pulled it up on her computer. I said that I read the script, and pulled up mine. We don't know what happened because neither one of us wrote the one I read. Or at least changed it to what I had read on the voice over. So earlier today, we redid the VoiceOvers. It took a couple of takes because we kept deleting, or laughing, or I kept messing up. I did it with AirPods in my ear to make my voice louder. However, it made it loud and able to hear, but a little muffled. It still sounded good though, more like the news. After we finished the voiceovers, we worked on the

Production Blog: Website and postcard

Image
I was scrolling through my emails. My eyes went wide. I got an email from the website I used to make the social media barcode. I used this barcode on the website and post card, which we had submitted already. Turns out the barcode was only active for the 14 day trial period. The webs never told me this when I made it. It said it was a free barcode generator. When I pressed on the email, it said it was deactivated, and to re activate, I had to pay monthly for at least a year. The total would've been 88 dollars. Neither one of us wanted to pay that. This meant that I had to redo both things. I started with the post card. This was actually really difficult because I didn't remember any of the passwords. This didn't matter for the post grad though. This was more of an issue with the website. Both were already saved on their specific website they were created on. This made it a little easier because I didn't have to redo it all. With the postcard, I just had to delete the b

Production Blog: Some little edits

Image
We had a little more editing to do. After the finally filming day, Karli put all the videos together and we were about at 5 minutes and 20 seconds. Today, Monday, Karli had a field trip she was going on, where she went bowling. She had to leave at 9 am, and she wasn't back until 2 pm. We were supposed to edit more, and add the credits/title sequences to our ending. As well as do the news caster voice over. My voice was supposed to be the voice over. I felt bad, so I told Karli to just go on it, and I would figure stuff out. She left her computer with me so I could edit the movie. I started in third period. There wasn't much editing I needed to fix. I cropped my finger out of the first scene of the house. I also did the voice overs. It was kind of hard because I wasn't sure I was saying the right things, or if Karli wanted something else. there were two different voice overs throughout the whole thing. One doing the first scene. Where I announced the asteroid is coming to E
